Description

KICK 2 is a dedicated kick drum synthesizer and shaper from Sonic Academy.

Current version macOS support
1.1.1 Intel only

The engine splits into two halves. A synthesized sub oscillator generates the low-end thump — you're not stuck with a sine wave here; several waveforms are available. Above that, three click-shaping layers let you dial in the attack transient using the bundled sample library. Over 230 factory presets give you a fast starting point across genres.

Tone shaping sits on the front panel. A built-in equalizer, compressor and limiter handle dynamics and frequency tweaks without leaving the plugin window. Three distortion algorithms add grit when you need a harder, more aggressive kick. Everything stays in one window, which keeps the workflow quick once you learn the layout.
