Description

Sally Face is a five-episode horror adventure that follows a boy with a prosthetic face and the grim secrets he uncovers.

90s cartoon nightmares and optional backstory

  • The first episode, Strange Neighbors, kicks off a story inspired by 1990s Nickelodeon cartoons and the developer's nightmares.
  • Expect optional extra dialogues that fill in the cast, and a handful of bonus minigames tucked between the main events.
  • Controls are straightforward — keyboard and mouse, no fiddly config needed.

Native Apple Silicon and a frame rate any Mac can hold

The build supports ARM and 64-bit x86, so it runs natively on Apple Silicon and older Intel machines. Performance isn't demanding; even a basic Mac should hold a steady frame rate. The interface comes in English, Russian, German, Italian, Portuguese and Traditional Chinese.

Kill the aggressive screen shake before the first scare

The defaults are fine, but two options make a difference before you even meet the neighbours.

  1. Open the menu and turn off screen shake unless you want the camera wobbling during every scare beat. It's aggressive by default.
  2. Switch the text speed to its fastest setting. The default crawl suits a first playthrough, but replaying episodes for missed dialogue becomes a chore at normal speed.
  3. If you're on a laptop trackpad, reduce mouse sensitivity a notch. The cursor drifts more than it should on Retina displays.

Audio gets its own section. The game mixes ambient noise and music close together — dropping the music volume to about 70% lets background details breathe without losing the soundtrack entirely.

Tap Tab to spot hidden objects in dark hallways

A few things the tutorial never mentions.

  • Double-tapping Tab highlights every interactable object on screen. Genuinely useful in the darker apartment corridors where clickable spots blend into the grime.
  • The Gear Boy — your device for talking to the dead — responds to the number keys once you've used it once. No need to reopen the inventory each time.
  • Skipping cutscenes requires holding Esc, not tapping it. Tap and you'll just pause. Hold it for two seconds and the scene jumps forward.
  • Dialogue you've already seen in a previous run appears in a slightly muted text colour. Easy to miss, but it means you can skim repeated conversations without worrying you'll skip something new.

One last thing: the bonus minigames aren't just filler. Completing them all unlocks an extra scene at the very end of episode five. The game never tells you that outright — and plenty of people grabbing a Sally Face Mac torrent can still catch it just fine if they take their time instead of rushing the main path.
