Description

The current build is 1.11.1. No version notes came with it, but the core loop remains: buy a wreck, knock walls down, lay tiles, sell for a profit. It is a straightforward premise inherited from the first game. What the sequel layers on top is a proper story mode you can play with a friend, plus a sandbox where you build from scratch without a budget nagging at you.

The setting is a town wedged between mountain peaks and the open sea. You get two distinct ways to work. Story mode hands you jobs with specific briefs and a co-op option if someone else wants to swing a hammer. Sandbox Mode strips out the client demands and just lets you construct houses your own way, again with cross-platform multiplayer if you want company.

Interface languages include English, German, French, Italian, and Russian. All spoken dialogue is in English. Under the hood, the game is built for Apple Silicon. Save files sit in a slightly buried path inside the app bundle—LocalLow Frozen District House Flipper 2 Profiles—so keep that in mind if you ever need to back them up manually.

It is a practical, systems-driven game. No great narrative weight, just the satisfaction of seeing a gutted room come together. Worth it if you liked the original and want more tools, or if you need a co-op project that does not involve shooting anything.

Why wandering off the job wrecks your budget

Most early frustration comes from three things. First, ignoring the mini-map markers in story mode. Jobs have specific rooms and tasks, and wandering off to repaint a hallway nobody asked about wastes time and materials. The client brief is not a suggestion.

Second, buying the most expensive tool upgrades too early. A better trowel helps, but not as much as learning where the game wants you to stand for a clean tile placement. Get the basics of positioning down before you spend.

Third, treating sandbox like story mode with infinite money. You have no constraints, which sounds freeing—until you build a house with a beautiful facade and realise you forgot to leave space for stairs. Plan the floor layout before you get attached to a colour scheme. And save often. The game does not hold your hand on structural logic.

A typical session in story mode

You load into Pinnacove and open the job list. Tom, your local contact, has forwarded a request: a couple wants their cramped kitchen opened into the dining room. The brief mentions knocking through a wall, laying new flooring across both spaces, and painting the result a specific off-white. Budget is tight, but not punishing.

You travel to the property. First step is always the sledgehammer. You mark the wall section, swing, and watch plaster crumble. The dust clears. Two rooms become one, and the space immediately makes more sense. You sweep up the debris—skipping cleanup leaves a mess that gets in the way of furniture placement later.

Flooring comes next. You pick a mid-range oak from the tablet menu and start laying planks from the far corner, working backwards toward the doorway. The game snaps each piece into place with a small haptic rhythm. Once the floor is down, you switch to the paint roller. Two coats on the longest wall, then you step back to check for missed patches near the ceiling.

Final touch: the couple asked for a breakfast bar where the wall used to be. You pull one from the catalogue, rotate it into position, and the job completes. Payment lands. You check Tom's list for the next one—someone's attic needs converting. You grab your tools and head out.
